Workpackage: Epigenetics and Microbiome

Focus of research:

As a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, I work closely with the teams in Senegal, India and Indonesia to study the role of epigenetics and the microbiome in childhood stunting.

My research interests are mechanisms of early life programming of long-term health outcomes.

With a background in neurobiology, I have a special interest in brain development and cognition.

During my PhD (University of Groningen, The Netherlands), I studied molecular mechanisms such as gene expression and epigenetics.

As a Fulbright Fellow (University of Pennsylvania, USA), I investigated the gut microbiota.
