Naveen is Senior Technical Officer at Indian Council of Medical Research-National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India. Naveen is having 15 years of research experience in the field of food safety and microbiology. Naveen has Post Graduation in Microbiology from Kuvempu University, Shivamogga, Karnataka and perceiving PhD Microbiology from Osmania University. He was MASHAV International Fellow of The Robert H Smith Faculty of Agriculture, Food and Environment, The International School of Agricultural Sciences, Israel in 2018. He has PGCFS (Post Graduate Certificate Course in Food Safety) from Hebrew University, Israel. His research interests are in bio-food preservation, microbiological risk assessment, WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and investigation of food poisoning cases. He sits on expert committees of Govt. of India regulatory bodies like Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Food and Nutrition Board (FNB), Ministry of Women and Child Development, and has been a part of technical and board of studies of several academic organizations. He is a faculty of MSc Applied Nutrition at NIN. Naveen has over 25 publications on various aspects of food safety and Microbiology. He has attended several national and international conferences and presented his research work. He is a life member for the Association of Food Scientists and Technologists, India (AFSTI) and Nutrition Society of India (NSI).
