Focus of research:Working with the research teams in each country to develop interventions with schools, communities and policymakers in order to raise awareness of the issues around child stunting, and the expected outcomes of the scientific research conducted by the Hub.
Rachel has a BSc in Biology and Psychology from Keele University and an MSc in Science Communication from the University of Glamorgan. She has worked in a wide range of UK organisations dedicated to public engagement with the sciences. She started out in the press office of the British Science Association, and went from there to Theatre in Education performance, international exhibition project management at Science Projects Ltd and management of Techniquest Glyndŵr, North Wales’ leading science centre. Following a period working as a consultant for BIG STEM Communicators Network, STEMNET, Women’s Engineering Society, See-Science and others, she joined Science Made Simple to manage the company’s larger projects, training service and fundraising.
