Professor Val Curtis passed away on Monday 19 October 2020. She was the Director of the Environmental Health Group at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine. And so much more.
“It is with great sadness we learned of the death of our friend and colleague Professor Val Curtis. Val led the Behavioural Theme for the UKRI GCRF Action Against Stunting Hub and she was a great friend of LIDC. She was an inimitable intellectual force: she had a knack for simplifying the complex to better understand the drivers of our behaviour and hence, human nature itself. The world has lost a true interdisciplinarian. We will miss her greatly.”
Professor Val Curtis gave her last inspirational speech on human behaviour for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine inaugural lecture. The recording is available here.
